The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted an inspection of Valente’s, Inc. in Charlottesville on Feb. 20, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.

During this inspection, officials assessed the following areas:

  • Food Composition, Standards, Labeling and Econ
  • Foodborne Biological Hazards

The final report found that Valente’s, Inc. was not required to make any corrections to its managing operations.

The FDA carries out regular facility inspections nationwide to verify that workplaces and their products comply with FDA laws and regulations intended to enhance public health. The results of these inspections are made available to the public.

According to its website, the FDA, as a government agency, oversees the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products throughout production and distribution.
