Gardner, Shedrick and Cavaliers Honored by NABC

Jayden Gardner, Kadin Shedrick and the Virginia men’s basketball team collected academic honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the organization announced Tuesday (July 19).

Gardner (youth and social innovation) and Shedrick (commerce) were named to the NABC Honors Court for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, while UVA earned an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players.

Over 2,000 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 300 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2021-22.
