Town of Culpeper issued the following announcement on Jun. 10.
The Town of Culpeper Public Works Department has scheduled a contractor to perform a pipe replacement operation on Sunset Lane, at the intersection with Madison Road (north bound lane).
The contractor will be installing a new storm water collection line across Sunset Lane. This operation will consist of open cutting the existing asphalt, placing new pipe, and back filling. Construction will commence on Monday, June 11, 2021 from 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM, weather permitting. A safety work zone will require intermittent, temporary closure of the travel lanes within this area.
Motorists should expect delays on this corridor and are encouraged to take alternate routes as available. Motorists are asked to pay attention to changing conditions within the work zone.
