Greene County issued the following announcement on July 28
Do you need better internet? Firefly has launched the Regional Internet Service Expansion (RISE) project to survey the following counties in Central Virginia. If you live in Albemarle, Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Goochland, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, or Powhatan and receive speeds at or below the 25/3 threshold, visit www.fireflyva.com/rise to take the survey.
This survey and speed test data will be used to further define the service area for a regional grant application that would aim to bring fiber broadband to every unserved location in the counties listed above. Help identify every unserved home in the RISE project area by following the link above and taking the survey by August 7!
