We Need your Help! Volunteer today!

The Smyth County Tourism Center in Chilhowie is now open! People stop by almost daily to learn about our area. You can help us and them as a volunteer tourism ambassador. Work 9 am - 1 pm or 1 - 5 pm one day per week or every other week. To volunteer, call Trish at 423-774-4644 or email the Chamber office.

Blood Drive for 20th Anniversary of 9/11

Chilhowie Library is hosting a blood drive to honor all first responders for the 20th anniversary of 9/11. This will also be the opening day of our exhibition September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed The World. Call 276-646-3404 for information or schedule an appointment at RedCross.org

Chilhowie Library is excited to announce its participation in an upcoming exhibit - September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World. This educational exhibition presents the history of 9/11, its origins, and its ongoing implications through the personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks. It will open September 9th at 11:00 am and be on display at the library throughout the month of September.

Smyth County Public Libraries now fully open

All library branches are now fully open and all services have resumed. All visitors are required to wear masks. Curbside service will continue to be available and should be arranged with each branch. Outdoor lockers are now available at all branches for 24/7 pickup of reserved library materials.
