Greene County issued the following announcement on Sept. 14
The County of Greene Victim Witness Assistance Program is seeking a Part-Time Assistant (up to 29 hrs weekly at $16.20 per hr). This position is partially funded by a grant provided by the Department of Criminal Justices Services. Duties include: data entry; assist in preparing quarterly reports; issue program letters; distribute surveys; provide support in working cases when necessary; provide services to victims; calculate statistical reports; assist in planning & organizing community events.
Qualifications: Experience working with victims of crime, law enforcement, or court services; Working knowledge of the Criminal Justice System; Knowledge of database entry and Microsoft Office. Must pass a thorough background investigation. Application can be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office or obtained online at http://www.greenecountysheriffva.com/.
