Albemarle County issued the following announcement on Sept. 17
Join us for a series of Fall litter clean-up events. The first event will take place at Milton Boat Landing and Trail, Saturday, September 25 from 8 am – 10 am. We hope you can join us as we give back to our communities through cleanup and Love Albemarle!
We will also share useful information about recycling and anti-litter awareness. Register for free! We’ve partnered with the Rivanna Conservation Alliance for the first event. These series of events will be a great learning opportunity and a chance to think globally and act locally! Participants will be picking up small roadside and trail-side litter during this event.
Gloves and pickers will be provided. We also suggest bringing drinking water and wearing close-toed shoes and/or longer pants for clean-up day. Meeting and parking location for September 25: Stone-Robinson Elementary School, 958 North Milton Road, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
We will announce our next clean-up event soon, so stay updated by following us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You can also check out these events and more on our County Calendar. We look forward to seeing you there!
