Upcoming Public Comment Opportunities on Decennial Redistricting

Orange County recently issued the following announcement.

The Board of Supervisors has begun its process for the Decennial Redistricting, following the 2020 Census. As part of the process, the Board will have a Public Input Session as part of the 5:00 p.m. meeting on October 12, 2021, to receive input they can consider ahead of the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing is scheduled as part of the 5:00 p.m. meeting on October 26, 2021.

All interested persons are invited to attend the Public Input Session or the Public Hearing and to present their views and/or to submit written comments for the Board’s consideration.   Written comments may be submitted by online comment form, mail to Attn: Alyson Simpson, P. O. Box 111, Orange, Virginia 22960, or by email to asimpson@orangecountyva.gov and must be received by 12:00 p.m. on October 26, 2021. Additionally, the meetings will also be livestreamed on the County’s YouTube Channel for remote viewing: https://www.youtube.com/c/OrangeCountyVirginia
