City of Charlottesville Tax Due Date Extension Reminder

City of Charlottesville Tax Due Date Extension Reminder

As a reminder, the City of Charlottesville has extended its 2nd half due date for 2022 Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills. Bills originally due on December 5th will now be accepted as timely through December 19th.

On November 21st, City Council approved an extension of the due date for 2nd half tax payments until December 19th. This change is temporary and only affects 2nd half 2022 tax bills. Copies of all tax bills are available electronically on the City’s payment website by visiting www.charlottesville.gov, and selecting “Pay Bills Online.”

City staff appreciates the public’s patience, and believes this change will allow taxpayers ample time to receive and pay their tax bill. Taxpayers with questions are encouraged to contact the City Treasurer’s Office at 434-970-3146 or citytreas@charlottesville.gov.
