There were 8,021 white students enrolled in Albemarle County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 2.9% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Albemarle County Public Schools District welcomed 13,835 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, white students comprised 58% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the school.

Albemarle County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Charlottesville City and has a main office in Charlottesville.

Among the 24 schools in Albemarle County Public Schools District, Western Albemarle High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
