There were 677 Black students enrolled in Orange County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 4.2% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Orange County Public Schools District welcomed 5,082 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 13.3% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

Orange County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Orange County and has a main office in Orange.

Among the nine schools in Orange County Public Schools District, Orange County High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
