How many students were enrolled in Orange County Public Schools District in 2023-24 school year?

The only school district in Orange County had rising enrollment in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

There were 5,082 students in Orange County Public Schools District, 0.8% more than the year before.

Enrollment in Orange County bucked the state's trend of decreasing enrollment.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 50.2% of them were male, and 49.7% were female.

Data also showed that most of the studets were white, representing 60% of Orange County Public Schools District's total enrollment.

Orange County Public Schools District has a main office in Orange and is the only school district within Orange County.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
