Three members of the Virginia Cavaliers women’s softball team received All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors, according to a May 6 announcement from the league office ahead of the ACC Softball Championships.
The recognition highlights the achievements of junior first baseman Macee Eaton, who was named to the All-ACC First Team. Junior third baseman Bella Cabral and junior pitcher Julia Cuozzo were both selected for the All-ACC Third Team. Eaton earned this honor for the second consecutive season, while Cabral and Cuozzo are first-time honorees. Cabral was previously named to the All-Freshman team in 2023.
Eaton led her team at bat during conference games with a .471 average, collecting 26 runs batted in and scoring 20 runs. She ranks among the top four regular starters in batting average within the conference and played a key role in helping Virginia finish sixth in regular-season standings.
Cabral posted a .339 batting average during ACC play despite missing part of the season due to an injury sustained against Duke. She recorded 22 runs batted in, hit five home runs, and scored 11 times during conference matchups. Cuozzo maintained a 1.62 earned run average against ACC opponents, earning wins over North Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Pittsburgh while also securing a save against No. 11 Virginia Tech.
Virginia is set to begin its campaign at the ACC Championship on Wednesday night with a game against Pitt scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Palmer Park.
