The University of Virginia announced on April 29 that its scheduled baseball game against Norfolk State has been canceled because of expected bad weather. The university said the contest will not be rescheduled.

This cancellation affects fans who had planned to attend the matchup and impacts both teams’ schedules for the season.

According to the announcement, ticket holders who purchased tickets from the Virginia Athletics department for the April 29 game can exchange their tickets for any remaining regular season home game during the 2026 season, subject to availability. The university said exchanges are available one time only and must be completed online through each fan’s UVAtix.com account. Exchanges will remain open until the first pitch of each future home game.

Looking ahead, Virginia’s next games are scheduled for Sunday, May 3, when they will host Radford in a doubleheader at home. The first game is set to begin at 1 p.m., with the second starting about 45 minutes after the end of game one. Both games will be broadcast on ACCNX and WINA (98.9/1070 AM).

The university did not provide further details about whether additional schedule changes may occur if inclement weather continues.
