MARK HAINES, JESSICA THOMPSON ARE 2022 CHAMBER LEADERSHIP FREDERICKSBURG GRADUATES

55

The Chamber’s Leadership Fredericksburg program graduated its fifteenth class during a May 20th ceremony at the University of Mary Washington Stafford Campus.

Germanna Community College staffers Mark Haines, Assistant Dean of Student Development, and Jessica Thompson, Institutional Advancement Coordinator, are members of the class.

Dr. Tiffany Ray, vice president of student services and equity development at Germanna Community College – also a graduate of the program – provided the ceremony’s Keynote Address. The Leadership Fredericksburg 2022 Class President, Kristal King, gave an inspiring message to the graduates and attendees as they recounted their journeys through the program.

The class began their Leadership Fredericksburg experience in September with a personality profile assessment. Leadership content was taught by a faculty consisting of Dr. David Corderman, Academy Leadership Associates, Dr. J.R. Flatter, Flatter, Inc., Janel Donohue, Rappahannock United Way, Kimberly Young, University of Mary Washington, and Susan Spears, Fredericksburg Regional Chamber. Each month, community, business, nonprofit, and educational leaders offered insights about their personal leadership journeys. In addition, each fellow was paired with a trained mentor from the business community who supported their progress throughout the program.

Prior to graduation, four teams from the class of 28 fellows presented the results of their Community Action Projects for FailSafe-ERA. Each team presented their deliverables during the Project Presentations at the LifePoint Church Spotsylvania Campus on May 12th.
