219 2nd-grade students enrolled in Fluvanna County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 219 2nd-grade students enrolled in Fluvanna County schools in the 2023-24 school year, the same number from the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Central Elementary School was the only school that welcomed 2nd-grade students in the county.

Within Fluvanna County schools, the largest number of students were found in 9th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Fluvanna County ranked 73rd in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 71st the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
