Culpeper County schools welcomed 672 4th-grade students in 2023-24 school year

There were 672 4th-grade students enrolled in Culpeper County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 14.3% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 4th-grade students in the county was Emerald Hill Elementary School.

Within Culpeper County schools, the largest number of students were found in 10th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Culpeper County ranked 29th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 29th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
