In 2023-24 school year, enrollment at Louisa County High School in Louisa County decreased by 2.2% compared to the previous year

Louisa County High School had the highest enrollment among Louisa County schools, welcoming 1,617 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 51% of them were female, and 49% were male.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 65.2% of Louisa County High School's total enrollment.

Among the six schools in Louisa County, Louisa County Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,168 students, while Thomas Jefferson Elementary School welcomed 648 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Louisa County High School is part of Louisa County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Louisa County, with its main office in Mineral.

In the previous school year, Louisa County High School also had the highest number of students among Louisa County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
