PVCC Drama Club to Present Comedy - 13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview

The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Drama Club will present “13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview,” a one-act comedy written by playwright Ian McWethy and directed, acted and produced by PVCC students. Performances will take place in the Maxwell Black Box Theatre on Friday, November 11, and Saturday, November 12, each night at 7:30 p.m. A matinee performance will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 2:30 p.m.

“13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview” follows the trials of two college recruiters who must save their jobs by finding the perfect student to fill the last spot at their prestigious university. In comes a parade of eccentric, awkward and just plain weird high school seniors, turning a seemingly simple task into an absolute nightmare. The play hilariously portrays everything one should not do in a college interview.

Tickets for this event are $5. Patrons are encouraged to purchase advance tickets online at www.pvcc.edu/performingarts or by calling the PVCC Box Office at 434.961.5376 (major credit cards accepted). The PVCC Cashier’s Office, located in the Main Building, will also have tickets available for purchase during normal business hours. Tickets may also be purchased starting two hours prior to the performance at the PVCC Box Office if still available.

The Maxwell Black Box Theatre is a small theatre located on the 2nd floor of the V. Earl Dickinson Building at the south end of 501 College Drive. Due to the intimate nature of the theatre space, no late seating is allowed. Doors to the theatre open 30 minutes prior to each performance. Ample parking is available in front of the building and the theatre is wheelchair accessible.

For more information, email boxoffice@pvcc.edu or call 434.961.5376. A list of PVCC Fine Arts and Performance events is available at www.pvcc.edu/performingarts.
